Fatma Hassona, an independent photojournalist, chose to stay and document life in Gaza from the beginning of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023. She was killed along with her family by a targeted strike from the Israeli army on April 16, 2025, at the age of 25. Her precious and necessary photographs are accompanied by poems, notes, and exchanges preserved by filmmaker Sepideh Farsi, director of the film Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk. This book pays tribute to her talent and courage, and emphasizes the importance of her testimony.
